When our calendar is full, or a job suits a different shop better, these are the ones we send people to, and all five are small outfits inside the Fresno city line that did not pay for the mention.

The calendar gets tight from August through October, and a job that needs a shop set up differently than ours comes along any time of year. These are the welding shops in Fresno we point people to when that happens.
Nobody paid to be listed and most of them do not know this page is here. Everything below was read off public listings in September 2026.
There are four things we check, one at a time.
Clovis, Madera, Selma and Sanger have good shops as well, but this page stays inside the city line.
From what we can see, each of these is run by the person doing the welding, or by a crew small enough that the owner is on the job.
They do repair and fabrication on equipment, trailers, gates, racks and brackets, and steel suppliers and metal service centers are a different business that is not covered on this page.
We looked at each listing in September 2026 for recent reviews and a working phone number, and a listing can go stale, so check before you drive out.
Details were taken from public listings in September 2026 and can change without us knowing.
These shops are listed for convenience. Joaquin Ag Repair has no ownership, financial interest, partnership or referral arrangement with any business on this page, does not supervise or inspect their work, and takes no responsibility for it. Nothing here is a recommendation, an endorsement, or any kind of warranty about quality, pricing, licensing, insurance or results. Hiring any of them is your decision and your contract, not ours. Confirm licensing and insurance yourself before work starts. Contractor licences can be checked free at cslb.ca.gov.
Brian Abdulla, Fresno, mobile
Working out of Fresno since 1993 on heavy and ag equipment, rebuilds included, and they take aluminum and stainless. We send the heavier work to them.
Does: Heavy and ag equipment repair, rebuilds, aluminum and stainless
Frank Lopez, East Braly Ave, Fresno
Frank runs the shop and answers his own texts, and the listing carries fourteen Yelp reviews, all of them five stars, with the most recent from August 2026.
One of those reviews describes him coming out, adjusting the door, grinding out the catch so it would latch, then welding on a safety lock while he was there. Gates and fences are most of what he posts.
Does: Gates, fences, railing and gate repair
Martin Medina, East Dayton Ave, Fresno
Martin runs it with a small crew, and Google shows 40 reviews at five stars while Yelp shows 15 at four and a half, both active in August 2026.
They lean toward fabrication over one-off repairs, and a customer said as much in a review this August.
Does: Metal fabrication, fences and gates, trailer repair
Greg Baronian, Fresno
Greg does the welding, takes commercial alongside residential, and charges nothing for an estimate. There are only four reviews, so there is less to go on here than with the others on this page. The listing was still being updated in July 2026.
Does: Heavy metal and heavy equipment repair, fabrication
2750 N Polk Ave, Fresno
A yard on North Polk taking commercial and industrial fabrication along with custom one-offs, and their listing carries 232 photos of finished work. Listings give two different first names for the owner, so we are not printing one.
Does: Commercial, industrial and custom fabrication
Four questions worth asking before any shop starts work.
Ask for the number before the truck rolls.
California requires a contractor license for work on buildings and fixed structures over $500 in labor and materials. Equipment, trailers and implements are not covered by that rule. Ask for the number if your job is on a structure, and check it at cslb.ca.gov.
Ask about it before the work starts.
Some parts cost less to replace than to repair, so ask about it on the phone.
If you run one of these shops and want the entry changed, or want off the page entirely, call (559) 210-7899 and we will take care of it. If something here is wrong about your business, it came off a public listing that was out of date, and a call gets it corrected.
Because the job still needs doing and one of these shops can do it.
There is no money involved and no arrangement of any kind, and most of them do not know this page is here.
We looked for a Fresno city address, a small owner-run shop doing repair or fabrication, and a business still active as of September 2026, and the four checks are listed further up this page.
Most likely we have not come across it yet, or it sits outside the Fresno city line, so call and tell us about it.
Call us back, because August through October is the busiest stretch of the year for everybody and there may be a wait either way.
