Welding services by job

Drop-off welding

Most repairs get done at the shop bench in Fresno at $85 an hour with no trip charge. Anything that unbolts or tows in is a drop-off job, and the work is booked by appointment.

Trailer repair

Utility, flatbed, gooseneck and dump trailers tow in and get repaired at the shop. Decks, floors, fenders, ramp and gate hinges and cross members make up most of the work.

Utility trailer repair

Floor plate, fender mounts and ramp hinges are the usual jobs on a utility trailer, and axles and hubs are looked at before anyone quotes them.

Farm equipment welding

Shanks, standards, sweeps, guards and brackets come to the bench once they are unbolted. Tool bars and frames still on the machine, or equipment down in the field, get a callout.

Truck beds, racks and brackets

Headache racks, ladder racks and tool box mounts unbolt and get welded at the shop. Brackets go on the web of the frame rail rather than the flange, and several trucks at one yard can be done in one visit.

Gates, fences and wrought iron

Field gates and wrought iron panels come off their hinges and get squared and rebuilt at the bench. Gates hung on set posts and fence lines in the ground need somebody to drive out.

Aluminum and stainless welding

Smaller aluminum and stainless jobs are welded at the shop once a photo shows the part will take a weld. Thickness, alloy and contamination decide that, and castings are harder to call than plate.

Mobile welding callouts

Equipment that cannot be moved gets a callout at $130 an hour with a $450 minimum, and several jobs at one address or several stops on one run share that minimum.

Welding by material

What the metal is decides how the job runs and what it costs.

How a welding repair job runs

A photo is usually enough for a price.

  1. Call or text and tell us what broke and what it is bolted to.
  2. Send a photo of the break, and another showing the whole machine.
  3. You get a price and a time window before anyone drives out.
  4. The weld gets looked at with you before the truck leaves.
  5. The invoice lists the hours, rounded to the quarter hour after the first one.
