What gets collected
If you use the quote form, it collects what you type about the part, the answers you pick from the buttons, your town, and your name, phone number or email if you enter them. Photos you upload are resized in your browser before they are sent.
The form saves as you go, so a job left halfway through is still readable to us, including any contact detail entered before you stopped.
Your network address is converted into a scrambled value used only to count requests and limit abuse. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics. The quote form keeps your answers in your own browser for a couple of hours so you can pick up where you left off, and clearing your browser data removes that copy.
Why it is collected and who sees it
Everything collected is used to answer your job, and that is the only reason it is collected.
The site runs on hosting and processing services, and the quote form sends your description and any photos to an outside processing service that helps sort the job. Those providers handle the information on our instructions.
Your information is not sold, rented or traded, and is not shared for advertising; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law. It may be disclosed if the law requires that.
How long it is kept
Saved quote records are removed about thirty days after they are created. Once a job is actually booked, the record is kept as a business and tax record for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Call (559) 210-7899 or write to the address above and ask for your information to be deleted, corrected, or sent to you. California residents have those rights under the CCPA, along with the right not to be treated differently for using them. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.
Children
This site is for people hiring welding work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
